This is assuming each murderer only killed one victim which isn’t likely meaning there are really fewer murderers than there are victims which can’t be computed from this information provided. “White” and “black” aren’t really defined either...

Assuming 300,000,000 people in the US, 1 out of every 4,475 blacks in the US murdered somebody in 2005. 1 out of every 33,526 whites in the US murdered somebody in 2005. Therefore a black person is 7.492 times more likely to murder someone than a white. Assuming I did my math right and the information in the article is correct...

What you seem to have missed is that Hispanic (and black) criminals are classed as black, while Hispanic (and white) criminals are classed as white.
There are enough hispanic criminals in this country that by backing them out of these numbers and reporting them as hispanic, it's going to change the black and white numbers dramatically.
BTW, hispanics are rapidly catching up with blacks when it comes to imprisonment. You'll find that most of the numbers on imprisonment are 3 to 5 years out of date.
We had a thread here several months back that discussed the fact that hispanic gangs seem to be targeting non gang blacks for crimes of violence for the purpose of intimidating blacks into abandoning their neighborhoods. The hispanic gangs then take over and usher in their compatriots whom they then rob on a regular and recurring basis.

Yes, hispanics are ALSO classified as “white” or “black”. They are not separately reported. Instead, white hispanic criminals are categorized as “white” in this data. That obscures their contribution to America’s murders.
Good points but I prefer to remain color blind. I think (after raising the bar for conviction) that rapists should be crucified or impaled. Done properly, death takes about 3 days. Done consistently, rapes will drop by about 80% in six months. The rate would be higher for other crimes meriting death like child molestation, murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, etc. I’m willing to throw in DUI also.
I’m not writing this for comic effect. The never ending suffering and expense we tolerate in the name of being “compassionate” is sickening.
A 13% minority, black men account for 45% of homicides. There is a segment of black men that are criminal and severely disturbed out of proportion to the general population. Address this and the US will be a much safer society for decent people.
