That was what I was wondering. It looks like the bridge failed at two places at the same time. Don’t know much about bridges, but it will be interesting to read the explanation.

I’m thinking that it actually was just a single point of failure that caused a cascade failure across the bridge. Remember, this was a non-redundant structure.
