<...snip...>

Accompanying Boxer on the trip will be Democratic senators Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin of Maryland, Bill Nelson of Florida, Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island. Republican senators are Johnny Isakson of Georgia and Bob Corker of Tennessee. Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont also will attend. 8 democrats and 2 republicans going to Greenland this weekend. Please contact them and let them know how happy you are that they are wasting taxpayer dollars on this boondoggle.

That is a long way to go. They’ll emit some serious carbon getting there and back. Making it a one way trip will lessen the impact though.

Maybe she can have an up-close-and-personal encounter with a polar bear!

Will they show her the ruins of viking settlements there who populated the area from around 1,000 AD when it was warmer and the colony died when it got cold again? Was it SUV’s that caused that earlier warming? Of course not. What a waste of time and taxpayer money.

Does Senator Boxer know how “Greenland” got it’s name?

Eight Senators, plus spouses, plus staff members, plus media, plus IPCC advisors.

WTF? Who is going to pay for their carbon credits?

Seriously, what is it that they need from this “on-site” visit that they cannot get from reports or video. If they really need a firsthand view of events, they should head to Iraq and inspect the aftermath of a suicide bomb.

To Senator Boxer

Things to do in Greenland:

Find out from the locals, why it’s called “Green”...land.

Thanks in advance.

hopes to bring a bill to combat climate change to the Senate floor

I plan on lobbying aggressively against the upcoming winter season. The climate changing is simply unacceptable.

Don’t let ‘inconvenient truths’ get in the way of Sen Boxer and her merry band of global warming fearmongers. As more and more scientists run away from the global warming bandwagon, the politicians and global warming opportunists will only shout louder and louder. Just because the Vikings were able to live on Greenland 1000 years ago doesn’t mean the poor polar bears of today are not in danger from our awful internal combustion engines.

Barbara Boxer is out to prove that receding glaciers and global warming are a bigger threat to mankind than al-Qaeda or Muslim terrorists. On the other hand, she might just find bin Laden in a glacial cave.

Hitlery and McCain took this trip twice either last year or the year before.

I see it as their escape from reporters so they can brainstorm some real partisan damage.
