I’m sure he has an “off-set” scheme figured out for fish.

Darn. Chilean sea bass is absolutely the best fish I’ve ever tasted.

It is very good. I'm sorry to hear the fish is endangered.

Gore and his guests at the weekend ceremony dined on Chilean sea bass - arguably one of the world's most threatened fish species.

As long as he doesn't promote the enjoying of it by the "little" people en mass, I guess it's okay. /s

Thanks for the find. Screamingly funny.
I bet the centerpieces were trimmed with spotted owl feathers.

I agree. Can’t often find it in MA. When I visit my son in CA. I can sometimes stumble upon it at about $24 a pound.

Freshly caught Minnesota Walleye in the 3 pound range would change your mindset. ; )

"Better than Halibut???"

Definately! but nowhere near as good as Copper River Sockeye. Halibut is really mediocre.

I used to eat it all the time when I lived in Venezuela. They call it mero there, and, yes, it is absolute perfection.

Yes he eats endangered species, owning and running several homes, he leaves a carbon footprint of 5 American families, they drive SUV’s and fly all over the world. But he makes all of this up by planting trees to give back what he takes out! WHAT A FRIGGIN HYPOCRITE! It’s like John Edwards, he’s for the poor don’t ya know. This slip and fall lawyer millionaire with 400 dollar hair cuts is trying to convince you and me because he already convinced the lemmings that he was always for the poor, REMEMBER I FEEL YOUR PAIN?

The gospel of environmental protection, as preached by the Rev. Algore (et. al), is to be practiced by the little people not the pontiffs of Global Warming and Environmental Saviourism.

Have you ever had FRESH: Yellowtail, Wahoo, Yellowfin tuna, or Mahi Mahi. Caught bled and cooked within a half hour of catching? Some Sashimi style or beer batter deep fried. Making you hungry?? Go sailing in the south Pacific and Sea of Cortez and you can get all those. I ate that diet for three years on our cruise, and can tell you that Halibut is good but doesn’t beat those! Oh yeah, I should add reef Grouper to that list, but it wasn’t quite as good. Fun to shoot though.

is this how things are going to go down now? Someday the fashion police is going to come for me, blowing their little whistles. Maybe I’ll just get off with a spanking, or a stern look.

For a surprisingly good fish, try the much-hated sail-cat. A really large one provides only a couple of small fillets, but the meat has a good texture, is very white, and tastes better than sea trout. The secret is using a high pressure hose to blast the slime off it before filleting. My brother, who is a professional fishing guide, remembered how the delicious snook was once called the soap fish and tossed aside as trash after the big fight of landing it. He decided to see what sail cats were like. Ha ha. Really, really good.

He has ordered his domestic help to raise guppies.
