Wrong question.
Could gay people have orgasms with members of the opposite sex?
Could gay people refrain from sex with people of the same gender
Could a gay person “fall in love” with a member of the opposite sex?
The answer to all three of those is YES. Falling in love is not restricted to members of the opposite sex. Gay people have the same physical reactions to stimulation as straight people. Gay men have had children with wives.
So there is no reason a gay man couldn’t fall in love with a woman who he was not “physically attracted to”, but still have sex with her and be physically satisfied, and refrain from sex with men (just like millions of unmarried people refrain from sex with all people, and millions of married people refrain from sex with any other people they are physically attracted to).
We lose the argument when we accept the false notion that people have some natural right to have sex with anything they are attracted to, or that it is essential that people be allowed to be joined with people they are physically attracted to.
“We lose the argument when we accept the false notion that people have some natural right to have sex with anything they are attracted to...”
Yeah. Exactly.
Sexual preference is something of a joke. What if you “prefer” little kids? Or my dog? And don’t tell me my dog isn’t capable of consenting and a willing partner - he’s busy humping your leg. Gross, but true.
I once asked a gay coworker if the thought of 'being with a woman' was as ooky to him as the thought of 'being with a guy' is for me. He said he thought probably so.
It's not simply a matter of having sex with someone you're not attracted to. Could I have an orgasm with a guy? Yeah, maybe (if there were no women left on the planet). It's a disgusting thought.
