Chilling Out - Global Warming
The Columbia (Missouri) Daily Tribune ^ | Sunday, April 15, 2007 | Parker Eshelman and friend

Some of about 30 marchers call attention to
global warming yesterday in an Eighth Street parade between
the Courthouse Square and the Columns at the
University of Missouri-Columbia. About 80 people attended a chilly rally that
Climate Change Coalition organizers hoped would draw 500.

The group seeks an 80 percent reduction in
the nation’s carbon dioxide emissions by 2050.

To show that they aren't total hypocrites they must now kill 80% of their group. Each one of them are (in their words) "destroying the planet" by emitting CO2.

“Some of about 30 marchers...”

That’s a mighty small idiot section for a major college. I could get 10 times more college kids marching for 50¢ beer night. And I count only 15 marchers, plus one guy on the sidewalk smoking a roach and checking out the hippy babes. And where’s the save-the-whale puppets? We like to go to these things and eat fishsticks and ask the hippies if they’re racist and have something against Ismael.

They look cold.

The protest must have been a success as it dropped to freezing again last night.

They canceled my daughter’s concert last night at an outdoor venue because of the cold here in Ft. Worth. On our email blast I put the cause as “Global Cooling.”

I just read an article in the hometown paper that apparantly we had one of these rallys too. There were about 200 people there and our 1st Selectmen (Mayor) was there having proclaimed April to be a month long Earth day. The scary thing is we're largely a Republican town so I fear this Global Warming schtick is gainin momentum and is now the price one has to pay to be a politicain.

The funniest part of the article was that as they were talking about the various signs many were promoting veganism as a way to save the planet. To the average person reading one of these signs wouldn't you have to question the sanity of the marchers?

Yep, there could be a 1,000 person march against the global warming scare and it would probably recieve little if any news coverage.

Shows how bright these people are, crying about rising temperatures while standing outside freezing.

If you go to a global warming rally, you should be forced to wear a swimsuit.
