Martha Stewart was found guilty of obstructing justice when there was no crime, also.

That is wrong. Sam Waxell (Imclone CEO) was convicted and sent to jail for insider trading and I think the stock broker also went to jail. Martha herself did not commit insider trading since she was not an insider.

Martha by witholding information was like an accessory, something like receiving stolen goods and covering that up.
