I'm afraid it might all boils down to how much $$ they can raise.

This is, unfortunately, the way of American politics these days. There is no denying that. Money is going to go to moderate (liberal) candidates, because that's who many are thinking will win.

If we Conservatives worked together as you said, we can change some things. We could definitely make the GOP sit up and take notice.

I even think we are a big enough block of voters to affect Presidential elections one way or another. That scares the hell out of the RINOs that are paying attention.

We could all organize and say "we are going to vote for Conservative candidates, and if they are Republican, great, and if they are candidates that we write in, great".

I'm sure we'd be called traitors if we say vote for a third party Presidential candidate and Clinton or Obama got in the White House in 2008, but I would bet that the GOP would be paying attention to us come 2012.

A lot of people are not willing to take that chance of a Clinton or Obama in the WH and will vote for whatever RINO runs for the GOP.

My view is, we don't have a choice - we have to take that chance and we have to wake the GOP up in the next few years and we have to force them to stop taking us for granted, because if we don't do something now, then six, 10, 14 years from, the GOP at a national level is going to be like the GOP in New Jersey and elsewhere - indistinguishable from the DNC.

At this point, the person I vote for in 2008 for the Presidency will probably be a third-party or a write-in, based on what I'm seeing starting to shape up. I'm not going to hide that - FR proudly proclaims on the front page that it's the "The Premier Conservative News Forum" not the "The Premier Republican News Forum". It'll be interesting to see what excuses are made if a RINO runs for President and Conservatives vote for somebody else. I'm sure we'll be called traitors, etc.

I'm not voting for myself though - I'm voting for my descendants, because if we don't reverse this trend of liberals pretending to be Republicans our grandchildren and their grandchildren will be the ones to pay for it.

Our best bet is to vote for conservatives in the primaries. A lot less people vote in the primaries as compared to the general election, so there's much more power there.

I'm trying to get my husband to register Republican so he can vote in the primaries for pro-life, conservatives.

And I will contribute to Duncan Hunter's campaign tomorrow.
