I am not "huffy" about it, Mr. Gore.
Most of those that have employer-sponsered health plans are paying monthly premiums.
I do get upset with my fellow conservatives that do not see that this is leading to socialized medicine and socialism in general.
Sometimes I think that upper middle class conservatives get to feeling as guilty as wealthy Hollywood stars over their wealth. Targeted tax breaks are based on the individuals ability to achieve a certain level of financial accomplishment. Why do you look at this as shameful.
Why is the healthcare business perceived as something other than a business that has a right to make a profit? I am not advocating outrageous greed. Access to good healthcare can be accomplished without more taxes or more government involvement. I live in a community where it has been done.
All without socialism, but with compassionate fiscally sound use of resources.

Funny, I see government-provided special tax breaks for favored health care plans as a form of socialized medicine.

In order to qualify for the tax deductions, I believe an employer plan has to meet government guidelines.

Under Bush's plan, individuals will get to choose the plan THEY like, and whatever plan they choose, they will get the same tax deduction.

That seems more free-market than limiting tax deductions to employer-sponsored plans that meet the government's blessing.
