Indeed, but Castle Poienari is a relatively small ruin nowadays, and isn't what most people want to think of as "Dracula's Castle". As I understand it, most of Vlad's Poienari is buried at the bottom of the gorge today, where it was carried when part of the mountain gave way and slid back in the 1800's.
It's history vs. romanticism. I'd personally rather visit Castle Poienari if I were ever in Romania, but most people would probably prefer to see a real castle than a shadow of a ruin.
