The longest-running big lie

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Yasser Arafat was a master of the big lie. Since he invented global terrorism with the founding of the Fatah terror organization in 1959, Arafat successfully portrayed himself as a freedom fighter while introducing the world to passenger jet hijackings, schoolhouse massacres and embassy takeovers.

To cultivate the myth of his innocence Arafat ordered his Fatah terror cells to operate under pseudonyms. In the early 1970's he renamed several Fatah murder squads the Black September Organization while publicly claiming that they were "breakaway" units completely unrelated to Fatah or to himself.

In 2000, as he launched the current Palestinian jihad, he repeated the process by renaming Fatah terror cells the Aksa Martyr Brigades and then claiming that they were completely unrelated to Fatah or to himself. This fiction too, has been successful in spite of the fact that all Aksa Martyr Brigades terrorists are members of Fatah and most are members of Palestinian Authority official militias who receive their salaries, guns and marching orders from Fatah.

Last week, with the quiet release of a 33-year-old US State Department cable, a good chunk of the edifice of his great lie was destroyed.

ON MARCH 1, 1973, eight Fatah terrorists, operating under the Black September banner stormed the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan during a farewell party for the US Embassy's Charges d'Affaires George Curtis Moore. The terrorists took Moore, US ambassador Cleo Noel, Belgian Charges d'Affairs Guy Eid and two Arab diplomats hostage. They demanded that the US, Israel, Jordan and Germany release PLO and Baader-Meinhof Gang terrorists, including Robert F. Kennedy's Palestinian assassin Sirhan Sirhan and Black September commander Muhammed Awadh (Abu Daud), from prison in exchange for the hostages' release.

Since he [Arafat] invented global terrorism......

.....he was a shoe-in to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Just like Dhimmi Carter was a lock to get the Prize for his support for global terrorism.

I have long said that the single greatest blunder of liberalism is that it taught terrorists to portray themselves as victims. They now are masters of this and the fraud in the recent skirmish of Israel and Hezbollah proves this out. The world was so willing to believe the absolute mountains of staged photos and film by the terrorist. THAT is its result.

Sharon was right when he said of Arafat "...I should of killed you 30 years ago."

I resent that we now have to deal with terrorists because we listened to liberals who embraced them as victims when Arafat and his terrorist ilk empowered all of the worlds terrorist with the ability to frame the argument, invent statehood of a people and invent the false history we now fight as if it was real.

Very interesting reading. I'd speculate that since Arafat and Hitler were both alive during WWII and before, they possibly knew each other, and were good buddies.

So, then it's possible that the very young Arafat at least met Hitler on a trip to Germany with his uncle. I wonder if there are any records that might speak to this?

I've seen a photo of the Grand Mufti meeting with Hitler himself.

Many have claimed for years that the State Department was run by a pro Arab cabal. This provides clear evidence that these claims were correct.

Will history show that one of the greatest allies of the radical Islamist Terrorist movement was none other than the U.S. State Department? I think that the answer is probably yes.

"I have long said that the single greatest blunder of liberalism is that it taught terrorists to portray themselves as victims."

I'll split a hair with you in that it isn't a blunder on their part. It is a calculated effort to strengthen those who would destroy our way of life and thus harm the United States, which is the major liberal goal (at least as I read David Horowitz). The libs can then rebuild our society as they see fit, however that might be.

But of course the muzzies would force sharia on us first, so that thwarts the libs' genius idea, doesn't it?
