I saw the movie and thought it was pretty good. I personally feel the Japanese military was subhuman but not all the Japanese. The only mistake I saw in the movie was when the dud round landed next to the guy dumping the honey pail. The color coding was wrong on the projectile and the rotating bands were not engraved, meaning it had not been fired.
Just saw "Letters From Iwo Jima", this weekend. I thought the movie was generally well done.
