Russia: Tough sanction on Iran over nukes would backfire

Tough sanctions on Iran to punish it for pursuing uranium enrichment would be counter-productive, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said before major powers met to discuss possible measures on Tuesday.

"We believe it is irresponsible to impose these kind of sanctions," Lavrov told reporters on the margins of a meeting of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Brussels.

If this lunatic obtains nukes we'll see a real nuclear battle come and very quickly after he gets them. And whoever fires first, you can bet Israel is not going to let this kook launch nukes and not retaliate in kind.

Nice pic of a Tu-26. Actually I think Iran bought some Tu-22 Blinders a few years back. Not that they would have a ghost of a chance making it to Israel.
