It's also been reported a beer per day is good for the heart. That means if I drink a six pack I'll be good for almost one week!

Go distilled spirits. I read it somewhere that when they were autopsying the deceased heavy duty alcoholics, their arteries were as clean as those of babies [do not ask about the livers]

I would have figured it out sooner but I drank too much beer and wine.

IIRC, the merck Index contains the reference to resveratrol synthesis - it is a rather simple molecule, not too hard to make.

That is NOT the same article.
They are both about resveratrol, but discuss two different studies.
Read, before you jump to conclusions.

If someone put me on a thread mill and made me run until I collapsed in exhaustion, I would probably loose weight too.

The amount they're giving to the test mice in these resveratrol experiments equates to a lot more for people than can be found in a few glasses of red wine. If humans can achieve similar results, it'll have to be with pills at a much higher dosage. Meantime I'm going by the health food store and see if they have resveratrol pills. By the time experiments lead to clinical trials lead to FDA approval in 50 years or so, I'll probably be dead of old age.
