Republican strategists plotting their party's comeback after it lost control of Congress have identified the "first lady" of Democrat politics as a key target in the 2008 White House campaign — even though she will not be running.

One wonders: If they had the capability, why didn't they just do it in this past election?

#20. Just proves DEMS can get away with anything they want to. Especially when the Dems have a complicit MSM backing them up.

:-(

There comes a point in time where people will say enough. The R's bent over and took it trying to get along wiht the D's while Frist was in charge.

Mitch is not Frist and if the D's don't know and understand that, then they are in a world of trouble. Look at the history of McCain-Finegold and how far Mitch went trying to keep that from happening.

You will find he is the consumate individual to be in the position he is in. He will take no crap and will make the D's pay dearly for what we have had to put up with from them.

Just sit back and watch.

What are they going to do about the fact that Hillary can't even deliver a short speech? I heard her sing song and boring on minimum wage. Not only that, she gave a list of people doing menial work none of whom would even be touched by the raise. If she can't even push the only dem econ plank, she is lucky Nancy is screwing up.

If she were running, and I could vote, Condi Rice would get my vote in a second.

Pure sophsitry. If Clinton couldn't be destroyed by now it can't be done. Especially since the current president won't release all the damaging information because he's "too nice a guy".

"Republican strategists plotting their party's comeback after it lost control of Congress"

I think that they SHOULD be plotting a comeback.

"If Pelosi comes across as not ready for prime time, that's going to hamstring Hillary."

I certainly HOPE so! I tend not to think of Hillary and Pelosi in terms of ham, I view them more as gamy up old turkeys.

Clinton will find some dirt on Pelosi/Delosandro, and find "some" method to remove her from the playing field. Remember, clinton is still the Democrat Party President - he packs a whallop.

If the Republican controlled house decided to go after Lewinski, then they went after one heck of a red herring - they should have pursued the treason angle with more authority, and brought out the raw data on the charge, but they were afraid, and went after the easy score - which turned out to only discolor Bill a little.

Face it, our boys screwed the pooch. Bill uis still in the limelight.

Err... the Telegraph is tops in writing anything that is anti-American and especially anti-Republican. It's a ghastly piece of commie/socialist trash not worthy to be read nor cited here. The paper reflects and helps alter the opinion of many Brits, unfortunately.

"And Clinton with her"

I didn't know Clinton was "up" yet.

Having said that, Clinton is the "Green Lady" from C.S. Lewis' "Silver Chair"..... An evil snake masquerading as a gracious woman. It isn't a bad idea to "bring down" or to figuratively "hack the snake's head off" at the beginning of the story instead of the end.

It would avoid a lot of grief and suffering.

I believe that both parties are successful at shooting their own feet off not to mention their big mouths.
