I'm even more disappointed that I'm the fourth one that came up with that line.

C'mon people? What happened? You people actually reading before responding? Shouldve been at least a dozen more by now.

Okay, now that was funny. Should've been my backup line.

I got it, I'll with this:

"This just in: guess who will be off the air and out of a job soon. That's right. Me, Al Franken. Newsmaker Al Franken, known for saying my name, Al Franken, over and over will be off the air. No more of me, Al Franken...."

Ahhhh, you get the picture.

That was funny too. There's so much material with this guy. We FReepers could go on for days.

Phooey, now who will we make fun of? Maybe we could bring back the Ditsy Twits and make fun of them. Did Rosie O'Donuts make headlines again begging people to be nice to the mommy and daddy terrorists? We are running out of targets and I still have a lot of ammo.

I guess that he won't have to remember to turn off the lights when he leaves ... they probably don't even have enough money to pay the electric bill.

Last paycheck bounced, huh Al?

Amazing how progressives and leftists are totally committed to the cause...until it interferes with their pocketbooks.

The problem is that now he might come back to the Midwest, namely Minnesota. Oh well, he will have good company up "dere with his good buddy Garrison Keillor, don't you know,eh?"

He's read the tea leaves and they say, "Minnesota. Senate."

Or they read, "I haven't been paid in months!"

He'll be sorely missed.

His rubbery lips give me the creeps.

That's not a rhetorical question. In a state like Minnesota, do you really need almost 23 months?

Yeah, you probably do. Because the incumbent has been raising money for the past 4 years, and if you want to seriously challenge an incumbent with four years of cash in the bank, you need to start like right about now. The incoming freshman Senators probably already have fundraisers lined up for their 2012 re-election campaigns. Seriously.

Now, that's really not fair to all the hard-working people involved in fast food management.

Besides, Franken's real talents lie in 12-step counseling and psychobabble affirmation therapy, as Stuart Smalley knows only too well.

Personally, I think Franken would be good for cult exit counseling and deprogramming. He does have experience (the cult of Hollyweird liberalism) and he likes tackling people. Just the thought of Franken (or Stuart Smalley) trying to force Tom Cruise into a straitjacket for 30 days of isolation and intensive exit deprogramming ought to bring tears to everyone's eyes. Of course, Franken would have to be deprogrammed first...

So, is the fool going to pass himself to some other network as a "journalist". We have all kinds of garbage masquerading as news these days.
