The nose is remarkably similar, maybe too similar for 20 years difference. The cheekbones also. The facial hair, eyebrows are dissimilar. The wrinkle lines in the forehead are dissimilar, but they tend to deepen with age. It's much closer than the previous photographs.

The guy on the left could be OBL in 1979...
We cannot tell the height. OBL is 6'7" and Admadinejad is 5'6".
The earlier photo shows pronounced bags under the eyes compared to the recent photo. Unless they go in for face lifts over there, this is a decisive difference.

Agreed. The old photo shows bags under his eyes that shouldn't be there for a 20-something guy; perhaps it was lack of sleep. Those Iranian "students" must have pulled a lot of all-nighters...
I can't stand the little rat bastard, but I look at the nose in the current shots and see in down turned and the earlier shoots look up turned.

Depending on when earlier the picture was taken, it is possible that the bags under the eyes were due to stress and lack of sleep. Prior to Carter demonstrating his total incompetence for the whole world to see, the Iranians were probably under the assumption that the US would send troops in at any minute. But from the aborted rescue attempt until Reagan's election, they were probably pretty relaxed.
Face elongation & Nose seem to match.
The ears are similarly shaped in he 2 pics. They are indeed larger in the new photo, but that's due to the normal aging process.
Look in both pics,about 1 in above the left eye..see the dark horizontal line?

It's possible the old photo was a student who had been hitting his textbooks heavy for days, which could emphasize the bags. Iammadjohn was an engineering student, which is a major known for causing lack of sleep. In the recent photo perhaps the figure doesn't spend as much time in the books or reading gov't docs or even koran, and doesn't lose as much sleep. But Iammadjohn's forehead has a good frown going that isn't pronounced in the old photo.

He's tall for an middle eastern man. His father is actually Yemeni, which tend to be taller than average
He's 6' 4" at best according to the FBI
Wrinkles come with age. Also, in the older photo, his hair covers a lot more of his forehead.
