If Israel becomes a member of the EU it cannot remain a Jewish state de jure. In fact, Arabs from countries such as France will have a right to move to Israel and vote to turn it into an de facto Arab Muslim state.

I hope Israel can resist the EU. France dangled membership into the EU over Turkey's nose to get Turkey to decline our troops going through Turkey to get into Iraq.
The EU ultimately holds sway over its members. Israel already doesn't get equal treatment at the UN. Let the UN members treat Israel equally before offering membership into the EU.
