Dick Morris: 20 years of Democratic Control
Fox News | 11/9/06

Posted on 11/09/2006 5:25:38 AM PST by pabianice

Dick Morris just on Fox: he said this is the beginning of an historic swing to the Dems. The next two years will be an unending blizzard of hearings and subpoenas and trials which, with the help of a drooling leftist media, will blanket the country, destroying the Republican Party and ensuring that dems control Congress and the White House for the foreseeable future.

Standard Morris stuff. Didn't he predict that the Repubs would keep Congress? I think it more likely that the Dems will take-off their masks and give the country a horror show for the next two years, something the elctorate doesn't want. We'll see.

We may or may not have a realignment. The Democrats could be around another 40 years? We'll see.

"which, with the help of a drooling leftist media, will blanket the country, destroying the Republican Party"

You mean a CONTINUATION of the programming that CNN, NBC, MSNBC were doing just the week prior to the last election?

Umm, didn't he just say the rats were going to win both houses?

...Morris also said that Allen would win and we'd win the Senate. He's probably 50/50 on his predictions. Fact is, with a new emerging party, or a dem congress that pisses people off enough, independants, Repubs and many conservative dems(so called)would make up for a few million mexicans.

We have to solve the California problem to ensure GOP victories in the future.

It is THAT bad. Bush is already talking about giving amnesty to the 12+ million illegals who live here as part of "working together" with the Dims. They get to vote, it will be the end of the GOP.

The liberals have proven that they have a victorious edge in the information warfare game IF they find a few themes and continually pound them home day and night from all their sources: 24 hour cable Newsrooms, Evening Newsrooms, Pundits, Late-night shows, sitcoms, movies, documentaries, NPR, etc.

They totally overwhelmed the opposition: a few radio talk hosts, a few newspapers, and a number of blogs. (Fox News -- with a few exceptions -- was clearly part of the liberal spin machine this past 2 years.)

The conservatives were unable to inject their worldview/nationview into the discussion. They played defense the entire time.

So, the libs don't need the trials and all to keep control. They simply need to pick their themes and enforce discipline on their outlets.

A few million Mexicans? We've got that many in the just the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area? Try 12 million as a conservative number...probably closer to 20 million nationwide.

No, he did not predict that the GOP would hold congress. He, like every poll said that they would lose.

He is right, unfortunately.

President Bush is too nice and believes that others if treated with dignity will act just like him. Maybe now he will see the true colors of the DemoRATS who hate his guts and have no scruples. I hope Tony Snow will enlighten him. It seems that all Presidents become so insulated after a few years in office and don't know what is really going on.

I think his last call was that the Republicans were going to keep both houses. I felt my stomach drop when he said it.

Morris called this election correctly, actually. And, barring a major terrorist attack by the Islamofascists, Morris is at least right about the next 4 years.

The Dems and the Press will spare no effort in attempting to destroy the Republicans via impeachment in the next 2 years. This will lead to a Hitllary presidency in '08, and an expansion of the Dem margins in Congress.

All this with the caveat -- if there IS a terrorist attack, particularly with WMD on our homeland, all bets are off.

There won't be another Republican majority in my lifetime...if ever.

How will that happen? My opinion.. The Dems will be seen as the party providing amnesty. They will lock up the Hispanic voting block that will continue to grow. They will seek to implement new income tax credits to keep this new demographic in the tent. Once the tax code has socially engineered a majority of dependent class of voters, a Republican won't be able to be elected dog catcher.

Not going to happen, political suicide. The Dems need to get things done and prove to the american people that their solutions are the better ones. Otherwise, its the same ole song and dance.....

The Democrats won't let go lightly. They are already getting their beady little minds on ways to bamboozle their way into the White House. Nancy will probably be measuring the drapes for Hillary today. Losing this election was not a good thing.

He's changed his views on this election so many times, it's "Kerry-fying."

Now that's funny as hell....

Morris changes his opinion with every change in the wind.

Now, (today) he indicated that Hillary would win in 08. Just a few weeks ago, he was saying she was unelectable.

Umm, didn't he just say the rats were going to win both houses?

Yes, he did. His opinion changed over the course of the election season to reflect a today viewpoint, but in the end he was smack dab, hands down, right. I think the Dems will try to socially engineer an unbreakable voting majority through the tax code. If that happens, 20 years may be optimistic.
