Okay, answering my own post here. My wits is starting to flood back in.
First wit-this President is very, very angry.
The little bit of verbal fluidity he has goes out the window when he's mad.

Now a big part of my brain thinks that this Commander-in-Chief HAS to know what he's doing.
Did he threaten the congress pubbies with throwing Rumsfeld under the bus if they lose? Better, did he PROMISE the congress pubbies with throwing Rumsfeld under the bus if they lose?
I'm trying to be calm but it's going to take a lot to convince me that this so obvious capitulation to the loonies is a good thing and further, WHY NOW?
