Iraq is the main reason the GOP lost, along with their fear of fighting the media. Until Republicans realize that Iraq is not popular with most Americans, including Republicans we will continue to lose.

I disagree. People support the War in Iraq only if it's a REAL WAR and not a "Winning The Hearts and Minds" war like the current campaign.

true. I blame the top generals for that, and Rove for not understanding that 20pts of the 60pts of "americans against the war", are people who want to win the damn thing, not people who want to cut and run (they are the other 40pts, the Dems).

Bush never understood that he had a limited amount of time, politically, to close it out. and the american people, 60% of them at least, want to win and don't care about abu ghraib and "civilian casualties" and all the rest.
