I've despised Rumsfeld for a long time, but this is the WORST possible moment to change him out.

Sorry, but I'm really disappoint and upset with what the President has done. Mostly because of the mixed message it sends to our troops at precisely the wrong time.

The first question was that the American voting public wanted some troops to come home now. I don't recall that question on the ballot. Is this another of these baseless conclusions as to the meaning, if any, of the midterm election results?

Question: You told us last week that Rumsfield would stay on for the rest of your presidency.
Pres. Bush: I didn't want to inject a major policy decision like this in the middle of an election. I gave you that answer to move you onto your next question. I also had not finished talking with Gates.
This press conference is making the idiot libs happier than the election results.
