To: Aussie Dasher

I'm working night shift...i will vote this evening before i go back in..

a side note...i guy told me a while back to not vote straight republican ticket...just vote on candidates that i know something about....which will most likely all be republican...but he said you don't want to give a mandate to someone you don't know anything about...kinda makes sense....btw i believe 2004 was my last straight ticket vote....just my 2 cents.

I used to vote according to whether the candidate was conservative or not, party didn't matter. However, in the last couple of decades that is no longer a good thing since the Democratic party has put such handcuffs on their elected representatives that few, other than someone like Lieberman, can vote against the party line on any important issue.
