Andrew Sullivan (Other People's Rectums Party - NY) continues to lie as much as he feels like it.

The commander-in-chief has abandoned an American soldier to the tender mercies of a Shiite militia.

I call BS on this, you can bet your bottom dollar that the people in country are searching night and day for the kid.

In a showdown for control of Baghdad, the Iraqi prime minister took orders from Moqtada al-Sadr, and instructed the U.S. military to withdraw from Sadr City. The American forces were trying both to stabilize the city but also to find a missing American serviceman. He is still missing.

What do the orders from the Iraqi PM have to do with GWB?

This "story" is just that... a fairy tale. File it under "Contrived News Unsupported By Rational Thought".

Sadr needs killing, and unless we're willing to do what it takes to put that thug in a hole we're not going to have a successful outcome in Iraq.

I have been a staunch supporter of the invasion and the tactics. I agree that if it is possible, establishing a democracy (read representative republic) in the Middle East is a solution to our problems.

But we won't establish jack until we have respect, and to gain respect among the Musselmen, we're going to have to kill a mess of them. On thug stands up to us and we are viewed as weak.

Kill Sadr.

Andrew Sullivan is just off on planet Sullivan somewhere, wondering why he isn't embraced more by the people.

A strange one.

Last week, I saw this guy for the first time on Glenn Beck's show. I don't recall what they were discussing, but I thought this Andrew Sullivan was weird. Something not right with this guy.

Yeah, yeah, yeah......anybody remember THIS ONE???? I sure do.......

In a true life account that reads more like a bad Hollywood movie, Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun was listed as missing in action in Iraq June 20 after he failed to report for duty. A week later the Arabic news network Al-Jazeera broadcast a photo of Hassoun being held hostage by Islamic extremists.

Hassoun, an American born Muslim of Jordanian descent, was the "poster boy" for the U.S. Occupational Forces in Iraq. Both a Marine and a practicing Muslim, Hassoun was commissioned by the military to reassure the terrified Iraqis that the massive bombing and indicriminate killings in their country since the U.S. Invasion was a normal outgrowth of democracy and not an insane plot to begin a Holy Crusade by the infidel Christians.

But for Hassoun, he must have felt as comfortable as a black man at a Klan rally as he witnessed his fellow Marines, pumped up by endless Bible studies and dressed as Christian Crusaders, laid waste to the city of Falluja.
Praise be Allah as the Marines were firebombing mosques, torturing captured insurgents, and shooting innocent women and children in the streets.

And now out of his worse nightmare, Hassoun lay bound and blindfolded in a dank cellar awaiting execution by his own brothers in the Faith as a murderer and a traitor to Allah.

But the plucky Marine using techniques learned from watching old MacGiver episodes, managed to escape his captors and make his way to the American Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon on July 8.

Wait a minute?? Beirut, Lebanon??

How did Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun end up in Beirut?

Since returning to the United States, Hassoun issued one statement to the press saying he was captured and held against his will by anti-coalition forces. While the American media was calling his daring escape from his captors "heroic" the Marines were smelling something fishy.

But before Hassoun could ink a deal with Hollywood for a Movie Of The Week about his heroic capture and daring escape, he was charged last month with desertion, theft, loss of government property and wrongful appropriation of a government vehicle. The desertion count carries a five-year maximum prison sentence and the other counts carry 10-year maximums.

Despite his fifteen minutes of fame on Al-Jazeera and his "good-guy Muslim" appearance as propaganda fodder for the American media, Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun was revealed to be a nothing more than a common military deserter - although a flamboyant one - still a lying, traitorous deserter.
The corporal's hearing on the Iraq desertion charge was delayed until Jan. 13 to allow Hassoun to hire a civilian lawyer to assist his military attorneys. After taking a holiday leave, Hassoun was required to return to Camp Lejeune by noon Tuesday, but did not report for duty.

Hassoun's command -the 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade - officially declared him a deserter and issued authorization for civil authorities to apprehend Hassoun and return him to military control. Today it was revealed that Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun, using techniques learned from watching old MacGiver reruns, has sucessfully escaped the U.S. and is believed to be hanging out with his old Muslim pals once again in Lebanon.

ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, Allah be praised!!!

While the media is obsessed parsing the ad libs of someone on no ballot this fall, something truly ominous has just happened in Iraq. The commander-in-chief has abandoned an American soldier to the tender mercies of a Shiite militia.

Is Bush running this year? If it's all right for Dems to run against Bush when he isn't running, I fail to see why Reps can't run against the Dem's mouth when he isn't running. The fact is Kerry is just a small part of what we will get, if the Dems will the House and/or Senate.
