Yes, we will miss her spirit of defiance.
Never submit to the yoke of Islam.
Looking forward to your report, my wife and I love Italy.

I've heard of Oriana Fallaci,Italian, but have been too lazy to investigate who she is and why she's so highly regarded here on FR.
Could you take a minute or two to educate me on this woman? I know she died recently.
Thanks!

I just visited Florence last year. What a lovely city! My daughter spent 5 months there and would love to return. And what a feisty lady! She deserves this.

Thanks for attending. She was a brave woman and a "truthteller".

I fell in love with this woman through the pages of her books. I continue to love her now that she has gone on.
May she rest in peace, and may her enemies continue to fear her.

Claudia, there are many people who should read your kind words about America in your profile...sadly many of them will never take the opportunity because they are not members of FR.
I will take this time to thank you for your observations, your appreciation, and your candor about citizenship. Come back to visit soon and learn more about this complex and diversified country.
You will always be welcome.

The world was enriched by Oriana Fallaci's presence in it and is now impoverished by her absence. She will be missed by those who love freedom.

I miss her, like you a miss a relative you see rarely but know is there and know will appear every few years. Her last few books took my breath away.

Thank you for the precious information Claudia, I'll try to be there too! (if it was not for Zeffirelli no commemoration would be done).

Ciao, "an italian",
I just discovered this thread. I want to know -- what happened? Was the street dedicated to Orianna Fallaci?
I remember your posts from last summer. Please keep in touch with us at FR.
Tanti auguri per l'anno nuovo!
