Fun hardly describes it. I was making martinis for dad and scotch & water for my by age 5. Three martinis and endless retelling of the same sea stories. Every night. My sister and I weren't permitted to leave the table at dinner until my dad was ready to leave. That was after the wine was gone. It was a chore to get my home work done between the end of dinner and bedtime.
My wife endured similar circumstances in her house. I drink a glass of beer once a month at Applebee's with a good steak. The rest of the time I prefer nice clean water with a little lime juice.
