Tehran, Iran, Sep. 23 All Iranian schools will have compulsory prayer times starting from the new academic year, on the orders of the Education Ministry.
All students will now have to take part in the daily ritual in communal halls, state-run media reported on Saturday which marked the first day of the Iranian school calendar.
Under the new system, a call to prayers will be broadcast in loudspeakers on campuses.
Is anyone really surprised by this?
At my son's Christian school, they call the students to prayer over the loudspeakers. Any student who does not join in prayer is beheaded immediately. There also seems to be a problem with declining enrollment - the headcount keeps going down.
Actually, I'm very surprised this wasn't the case already.
Of course, if this was happening in the US, the ACLU would have no problem with it since it's about Islam.
Only surprised "Death to America" is not thrown in to.
That's what is taught.

And if they don't pray will they behead them ?
This doesn't really bother me. I don't think it's necessarily a negative thing.
That said, the "Death to America thing" and the teachings that the Jews are the root of all evil are far more disturbing.
Then you don't know much about Islam, and what they "pray" for. It IS the "death to America"(and all Non- Muslims) thing, in so many words. Islam is all about hate. I'm suprized that this wasn't already the case as well. It is in a lot of other Islamic countries/states.
I thought Bill Clinton said that Iran was a liberal, progressive state, unlike the US and Israel?
