But will they give much credence to someone this unpopular?

LOL!! Perry polls twice what Ma Strayhorn of Kinky does.

What does that say about their popularity?

Funny, I born and raised outside Houston, and live in Deer Park. Texans can be literate.

Maybe, but just over 60% of Texans are not behind him. This could be a real problem for him even if the unfortunate happens and he is elected.

Yed he can look silly, but he is still head and shoulders above Gov. Goodhair and his cronies.

Wow. the deflection and lack of focus are amazing. Please provide us with specific details of what is wrong with the TTC-35 proposal as it is today. Hairstyles, popularity, or the proclivity towards romance with farm animals are not pertinent to the project.

The 18% or so who are voting for Kinky are largely Democrats, especially the 6th street crowd, who've made One toke over the line" his theme song.

The 20% or so who are supporting Strayhorn are largely realistic Democrats, including trial lawyers and union members, who know that Chris Bell is a joke.

And, the 9% who support Bell, well, what can you say?

When Perry wins, he will get the appraisal cap, continue to grow the state economy, and continue to show the need for the TTC.

Look silly? Wait until Jesse "Feathered boa" Ventura starts campaigning with him in October.

Cue the calliope music!!!

I liked Jessie,he lower taxes, balanced the budget, and was incharge of a tax rebate.

I wish I could believe Gov. Goodhair will push for appraisal caps, but I doubt it. He has had about three or four years to really push for it and he hasn't. This is another reason i will not vote for him.

There are 5 nutjobs running for Governor this year. I don't even like the idea of the TTC but I also don't like the idea of greater nutballs becoming Governor. So far it seems Perry -rolls eyes- is the lesser of the Nutjobs.

This road is not needed by TX.

That is your opinion. Apparently you and your 20 don't travel the major roadways or you'd understand some of the congestion that exist.

So if they aren't needed when do you think they'll be needed? Five years, ten, maybe 20 or never?... How long do you think it takes to build something like 300 miles of freeway type roads?.... It doens't happen overnight in the real world.

At least you admit he's the better of the lot even if not by much.

Anyone that will vote for something like a Kinky isn't a conservative nor does he have the good of Texas and Texans in his sight. JMO

Naw...... Gov. Perry will be elected and serve another term. Kinky will finish fourth in a four candidate race.

He might beat the 'RAT candidate.

Here's another reason not to vote for him as well as other career politicians......Comprehensive Annual Fin'l Reports......it's the set of books they never talk about that represent the true fin'l condition of stategov, county gov, citygov, etc. Check out www.CAFRMan.com and learn how they're lying through their teeth when talking about the lack of funds needed for state projects.

One vote is all he needs to beat each of the others by. I think he'll do it easier than a lot of the Kinky-Strayhorn crowd is prophesying.

The Dallas Morning News claims that the average Tax Cut in the Dallas Area will be about $80 this year. My preliminary estimate is that the school bonds will drive mine up this year again.
