We call it multi-tasking.

For him to demand a winning attitude and total commitment from his team he needs to lead by example.

This statement is so patently absurd I won't even respond to it...heh, heh...

Really. With athletes who show up late for camp, talk on the cell phones during meetings, conduct their personal business all the time, etc., etc. he's setting the example that they all have a job to do.

By the way, God forbid this to be the case but if someone declined an invite to go meet with President Hillary Clinton what would you have to say then?

As an American he is free to dine,or not, with whomever he chooses. I didn't know America had command performances for royalty.

O.K., I understand that but c'mon. Do they never take any time off? I'm sorry, I just can't believe that a man couldn't take a couple of hours away from "the office" to have dinner with The President of the United States on a Sunday night.
Dear God, I hope that, should his wife pass, her funeral isn't during his important working hours. I'd hate to see him miss her funeral.

Sorry, but I just think there's more to this than meets the eye.

I would relish the opportunity to tell her what I thought of her and her husband. But I'd let the media know about it first so as to diminish the chances of an unplanned visit to Fort Marcy Park.

As for Saban, it's not as if he was asked to spend an extraordinary amount of time with Bush. He obviously wasn't interest in meeting the president--that's fair enough--but as far as I'm concerned his excuse was lame. Saban could have made up the time it would take to have dinner with the president by eliminating just one press conference.
