Unless I'm mistaken, when the US has diplomatic relations with another country, our citizens visiting that country are entitled to certain types of protection as US citizens, based on the treaty we have with that country, a fact seemingly too elusive for some people to grasp.

Speaking of FOX,I woke up during the night to hear one of thier newsreaders (Darby) call David Lee Miller "David Lee Roth." Sheesh!

Derkowitz is an interesting person. Sometimes I want to bean him, he gets so stupid sbout some things, but other times, you KNOW he gets it on some points.

This country has a history of citizens visiting foreign lands to help in various capacities and it doesn't mean when things get a tad dangerous that we just let them handle the danger themselves without governmental assistance.

The media can't recognize good diplomacy (the kind backed up by strength).

There are some really intriguing developments this morning:

1) Israel's proposal for NATO troops sent a message to Europe: "Put up or SHUT UP." Methinks we won't be hearing much more "ceasefire" talk out of the Euro capitals.

2) Condi making Beirut her first stop boosts the Lebanese prime minister and undermines Hez's position. It also sends the message that we have lots of surprises (as well as arrows) in our arsenal.

3) Bush and the Saudis agreed yesterday that Saudi Arabia will "lean on" Syria. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they tell the eye doctor what a fool he's been.

And, lastly, there's Bolton sitting at the U.N. insuring they don't meddle and make matters worse. (Not to mention GW just put the Dems on notice that they'll have to vote on Bolton again before the fall elections!)

A pretty good day, I'd say.

I understand that everyone wants peace. but why is Israel the one that most of the world pressures to back down ?

The RATS are saber rattling about blocking the Bolton nomination. I don't think they'll succeed but it's disgusting that they even think of trying.

Democrats....our own homegrown communists.

Totalitarians for Social Justice and Whatever Makes the US Look Bad, that's what our Democratic party leaders and their base have turned into.
