Just saw on CNN that 23 tons of explosives were dropped on a Hezbollah bunker. Top Hezbollah officials are believed to have been inside.

No, it's not a lot. The media doesn't tell what KIND of bombs were used, what amount of actual explosives were in them, how many sorties the Israeli's ran bombing that target, etc.
Typical of CNN and other pro pali media, they just add up all the wieght from the mission. It's not like it all fell at once, like some seem to think judging by the comments.

Sounds like a measured response to me! Depends ... if it's all dumped on top of the bunker, it's a judicious application of force, properly targeted on legitimate military asset.
If they're levelling an entire neighbourhood, in order to get one hideout ... they need to get with the program. This isn't the 1940's any more.
