I agree of course that the Founders did not envision or define the judicial branch to be supreme in interpreting the Constitution, i.e. to have absolute power to say what it means. I agree they are a check on the other branches. They decide cases.

I would definitely support Guiliani. But. His liberal positions on this or that would not bother me so much if I thought he could be counted on to continue appointing originalists.

I believe Mitt Romney also has great leadership qualities. He's sometimes slammed as a little bit false, i.e. politician-like. Who cares. He may have taken some liberal positions on this or that, but I definitely think he understands about originalism.

No, they are not. You need to brush up your constitutional history and read up on the federalist papers.
