"Gingrich's time has come and gone"

I listen to the candidates out there. In my opinion Newt has better ideas and can articulate his vision better than Allen, McCain, Giulliani and every other(R)candidate. Much of his domestic policy is predicated on self sufficiency and accountability. Two attributes Americans are forgetting. In addition, he underscores the importance of a strong military and an aggressive war on terror. Read the "Contract with America". That is basically his platform.
I haven't heard any of the aforementioned candidates say anything. It's all about ideas. And Newt's got them. You say "Gingrich's time has come and gone". The same could have been said of Nixon in '60 and Reagan in '76.

Gingrich has a "wife" problem. And as a conservative female voter I wouldn't be able to rise up against it to pull the vote handle for him.

Yeah I know Guiliani has them too... but Guiliani's marriage was already over when he started to date his current wife.

Gingrich's wife at the time he committed the act was recovering from cancer.

No question Newt is perhaps the best idea man in politics. But he just carries too much baggage. A polarizing figure like Hillary. He simply can't win.

You really ought to read tom coburn's book "Breach of trust" for a better look at newt. He's not quite the hero everyone percieves him to be and he will cave easily.
