All border states like PAN, because they are the ones that benefit the most from trade with the US. They know that if the socialists come into power then the billions in trade with the US will evaporate.
Here we go again with phantom "provisional ballots"...
my spanish is pretty weak but are both guys pretty much saying they'll win when all votes are counted?
Also is PAN increasing its numbers in congress? I can't keep up it is too fast...hehe
We only have 4 Spanish channels here and it is like Nov. 2000 all over again...
I wonder what the breakdown of the vote for Mexicans that live in the US is?
I'd say most illegals went for Obrador.
Calderon Dinosaur Socialist 0.381111015 0.195651701 0.356474568
Calderon said that the raw offical totals, polling company projections, and their internal projections show him winning.
He will respect the IFE(offical vote counting institution) policy and reserve declaring victory and awaits not only the offical vote Wednesday but the continuous updates.
Madrazo said he will respect the IFE and not make any comments as respects the result and will wait until Wednesday for the result.
PAN is projected to make gains the House of Deputies and the Senatebut without a majority.
Tabasco is also Obrador's home state, according to Wikipedia...
Tabasco is also the home state of Madrazo.
thanks, err, gracias..hehe.
I'm calling it a night. I did this one night in 2000, never again!
No wonder Calderon is below 4% there then! If a US state had 4% for the GOP in a Presidential election, that would be one crazy place!

Ah Caramba!
That is reaching potential street violence margins.
Where are you getting the updates?
I live in Saltillo, Coahuila - a fairly prosperous and safe place.
The Socialist tried to pull a Gore and deny the tens-of-thousands that are in Germany for the World Cup from voting.
Thanks. The Socialist really concerns some of my amigos (I'm and ex-pat) that have worked and sacrificed hard.
One of Obrador's favorite stunts is to gin up a rent-a-mob protest rally. Chavez does the same thing. If Calderon wins, he can expect "the people" to take to the streets.
I am a bit worried too. I just got back (today) from 3 weeks in San Miguel, but I was not sure where this thing was going. Guanajuato is a big PAN area, so I knew that I was not getting the whole story.
But we had been down in 2000 as well and were anticipating the Fox victory then and are hoping for the same.
49.39 % in and a 433,000 vote lead.
fingers crossed.
50.79% of the vote in and Calderon leads by close to 441,000 votes.
