Reporting exclusively for FreeRepublic.com, the premier conservative activist website, it has been learned that the office of Congressman William Jefferson(D), Louisiana has no solution for the problem of freezer burn for our currency.
A short time ago, I phoned the congressman's office:
Staffer: Hello, Congressman Jefferson's office.
DFU: Hello, my name is Doug. I was hoping that the congressman might have a solution for me regarding the problem of freezer burn and money.
Staffer: No, not that I know of.
DFU: Darn. I also keep my money in the freezer and freezer burn has become a real problem. Okay, if you don't have a solution, I guess I'll just have to live with the problem.
Staffer: Yep

Ah heck. I'll help the guy out.
In Louisiana you have to be concerned about the Formosan Termite. It is one mean termite and you should protect valuable papers from it. The termite cannot take cold so a freezer is a safe place for said papers. Money can be protected this way also.

I usually keep at least a couple of million in ill-gotten gains in my freezer, and I can confirm that freezer burn is a real problem!
I trust that Rep. Jefferson will stay on top of this issue and let us know when he has discovered the solution!!
