U.S. near deal with China on illegals (39,000 to be deported to Red China)
The Washington Times ^ | April 5, 2006 | Audrey Hudson

The Department of Homeland Security is near an agreement with China to return up to 39,000 Chinese illegally living in the U.S. to the communist country, which previously had refused to accept deportations. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff yesterday said the tentative agreement, which would let the U.S. deport Chinese illegals as they are arrested, will act as a deterrent to other foreign nationals contemplating illegal immigration. "We can't be in the position any longer where we are paying the burden and bearing the burden for countries that won't cooperate with us and take their own citizens back," said Mr. Chertoff as he completed a weeklong tour of China, Japan and Singapore to discuss security and immigration issues. Mr. Chertoff said nearly 700 Chinese nationals held in U.S. detention centers are clogging the system and that more than 38,000 have been released on bond after spending the maximum 180 days in lockup.

No, just a re-education camp that turned Elian into a leftist fascist for Castro along the lines of the Hitler Youth.

What part of ILLEGAL IMMEGRANT is difficult to understand? If they want to come to America, have them get in line and fill in the right paper work. I only wish we would start sending back about 15 million ILLEGAL Mexicans, Guatemalans, South Americans,,

Most of these Chinese are not political refugees seeking asylum. They are simply here to make money (or spy on us).

They need to go back to China.

They certainly didn't have any problem taking back (and hiding) the hundred-some-odd Chinese that were subpoeoned to testify about the Clinton's fund raising activities.

The ones who are doing the spying probably have green cards. Clinton made sure of that.

You have a point, which brings me to something I haven't discussed in a while.

In my midwestern suburban area, we have had a huge number of Chinese restaurants spring up over the last few years. Ten years ago there were 3 in a seven mile radius. Today there are almost 30.

These are not chain restaurants, but small, privately owned restaurants. How did these people get into the country, and how did they amass enough capital to open a restaurant?

I see how it works. If you are from a Communist country, and you desire to assimilate into the USA. That is when we send you back. I am not concerned about the Chinese. I know they will being a good work ethic with them.

However, if you are Mexican, then you can stay. I cannot believe this is happening under a Republican President. I almost to the point of regretting that I voted for Bush. What a piss poor job this guy has done concerning illegal immigration, drilling, and Iran. I voted for him, but I almost regret it now..

The Republican party needs a serious shake up. They have no spine, and compromise their principles.

You know most illegal immigrants from Communist countries tend to be very pro American. They risk their lives to come here, and we send them back to that hell hole.

At the same time we take garbage from countries that are using us only for jobs. They do not want to learn our language, obey our laws, assimilate, etc.....

Unbelievable!

Yes it does.....the federal government has always shirked their duties! It's just a cop-out to make people think they're doing something to curb illegal immigrants. The truth is these Chinese people probably had a visa at one time and it just expired and the government could renew their visas...no problem. To make the administration look good(and they're not fooling anyone)they process 39,000 Chinese when there are 12 million illegal Mexican out there. These politians like Chertoff are a joke.Chinese people work harder than Mexican if you want to know the truth, besides this they use their brains.

Let's face the truth .....the Mexicans waded the river, but the chinese had to get a visa to get here damn-it!!

The legal Chinese community will assume responsibility for the immigrants too.

Why don't we offer them a million Mexicans instead? The Chinese could get their Olympic facilities built in record time, and our welfare costs would go down.

I have mixed emotions about sending the chinese back to red China. I have seen a lot of hard working and loyal immigrants from China, on the other hand, I have also seen some pretty nasty chinese gangs forming from these illegals.

I only wish that Homeland Security would be a bit more consistent and send illegal Russians, Mexicans, rug-riders and camel-jocks back as well.

OOPS!! I just thought Chertoff wasn't pulling the wool over everybody's eyes. Read post #14

How do Chinese people open restaurants??...#1..they get here on a visa..most are highly educated when they get here or they get their education in the states.#2 They work their ever loving ass off...the majority don't drink nor smoke like we do so that gives more money to the family and to their business endevor#3 They open a business(legally),pay taxes, raise their children to be obediant and assimilate to the culture of the nation they reside in.You will not see them rallying in the streets of American cities demanding rights that they are not entitled to.Mexican people generally despise them(from my personal witness...just thought I'd throw that in).The majority of the people will influence their children in the arts of society and they develope talent and are brilliant and become a success in business or arts.

The Chinese people would be a tribute to America.
