Freeper Research Project - Freeper Personalities: Results!
Freeper Research Project: Freeper personality tests ^ | February 26, 2006 | Alamo-Girl and Nita Nupress

Posted on 02/26/2006 9:34:23 AM PST by Alamo-Girl

Below are the first results of the research project!

We would like to improve on the project by adding occupations to the chart below. The occupations listed in each type code will not be associated with Freeper handles.

If you would care to share that information, please post your code and occupation, e.g. INTJ - physicist.

If you don't want others to know your occupation, you could send either Nita Nupress or me a Freep mail with the information.

Thank you all so very much for participating in this project! If you'd like to be listed in the next update, please take the test and let us know your code and scores:

Curious about what renders us "Sensing" instead of "Intuitive". Have an idea that it relates to questions regarding following known algorithms. And where does "Judging" derive?

LOL! Spoken like a true "inspector"!

I took the test again, and I came up iNTj (was iStJ before). So, I did it a third time, and was back to iStJ, so its there I will stay.

Tests like this annoy me because at least half the questions cannot properly be answered with a "yes" or "no".

The "book vs. party" question is a perfect example, and is the type of question that psychologists salivate over. I would rather read an interesting book than go to a party filled with boring, pretentious people. But a party of interesting, like-minded people would be far better than a badly written book on an irrelevant topic.

And what about those of us who might prefer to be building something in the workshop to reading a book?

Precisely. It's a shallow test. Sorry Alamogirl. It will take pages of y/n/maybe queries to divine my true personality.

I on the other hand will take some introvertive activity over parties a good 90% of the time. The "I" is a true result. The "S", if I understand it correctly, is also a true result to some extent-- it depends on the context. "T" rather than "F" is true. "J" I don't understand however.

The flip side of "J" is "P". Judging vs. Perceiving. Do you have opinions about what you see and hear? Or do you see and hear things and think, "Oh that's nice."?

Please add my daughter to this list -- her s/n is Conservativexcore, she's almost 18, and she signed up a few months ago.

She's an ESFP (67,25,25,33). She's in high school right now but will be going to ASU in the fall, probably majoring in English.
