That's EXACTLY what happened. STUPID, especially when it hadn't been proven that Kennewick Man wasn't their ancestor.
No they didn't. They couldn't get into the site with bulldozers. They had cranes with buckets that reached over the trees and existing vegetation ant then poured tons and tons of rock and soil then they went in with layers of burlap and then planted vegetation over it all.
