re: Dubai
Did you read the court case in Florida yet? We'll swap (you know mail back and forth).
You need to read the Forbes story on the financing on this deal and also how Kofi (Yes), has money tied up everywhere in Dubai and will make money off the deal (via Lucianne).
QUESTION: When is David Gregory going to apologize to Scott McClellan?
I certainly want this port deal scrutinized, so I don't mind the hullabaloo.
However, if Chuckie Schmuckie is for something, I am against it 99% of the time.
His crusade against this port deal has more to it than security concerns. Of that I am sure.
I can remember shortly after Rathergate, CBS News website had a story about an incoming internal review of CBS News, and the organization (remember now this is the CBS News website) that got the scoop was the Associated Press.
LOL! Yep.
Good point by Rush: The Dems want to create a terrorist bill of rights, want the NSA wiretaps stopped but now they they want to stop the UAE port deal. Hipocracy on parade.
I agree with Rush that the port deal is not as big a deal as other issues where the WOT is concerned-not profiling in airports and other PC stuff. The people might be relieved if/when the port deal is turned down, but the people will skate right on by much more serious threats to our survival.

Yeah, yeah "Mommy told me not to behave like that in public". Whatever. Little Davy should be horsewhipped with his daddy's leather belt.

QUESTIONER:
Uh, welcome to the Grand Jury, Mrs. Clinton. How are you?
MRS. CLINTON:
I'm sorry. I don't recall.
QUESTIONER:
How's the book tour?
MRS. CLINTON:
I'm sorry, I don't recall.
QUESTIONER:
Uh, well let's get started.
[singing]
Try to remember when you were a member
Of Rose Lawfirm and worked Whitewater.
MRS. CLINTON:
[singing]
I don't remember that big money lender.
I was, um, baking cookies for my daughter.
QUESTIONER:
But Mrs. Clinton,
[singing]
Don't you remember that illegal tender
And your shady friend-- that McDougal fellow?
MRS. CLINTON:
I'm sorry,
[singing]
I can't remember; my brain's in a blender.
It's Jell-o!
QUESTIONER:
Ha ha, that's pretty good.
MRS. CLINTON:
Could we get on with this, please? I, I have to get back to my book tour.
QUESTIONER:
Okay, Mrs. Clinton, try to remember--and don't blame your gender--
[singing]
For missing all this high corruption.
MRS. CLINTON:
Well, excuse me,
[singing]
I don't remember--and don't blame my gender.
I'm not just some bimbo irruption.
QUESTIONER:
Uh uh, well, no, I didn't mean to imply that, but, but,
[singing]
Come next November your Bill the big spender
Could come to his end for this peccadillo.
MRS. CLINTON:
Well, I don't think so, because
[singing]
I can't remember; my brain's in a blender.
It's Jell-o! ["Jell-o" echoing four times]
QUESTIONER:
Uh, are you getting tired? Would you like to recess?
MRS. CLINTON:
I'm sorry, I don't recall.
QUESTIONER:
[quickly]
Who's president of the United States?
MRS. CLINTON:
Uh, I'm not sure I can remember that.
QUESTIONER:
This is very troubling.
MRS. CLINTON:
Well, pardon me.
QUESTIONER:
Oh, your husband could do that.

Blaming his wife for his having to "apologize" is not very manly and doesn't cut it w/me.
From what I understand, the management of a port doesn't have much to do with the security, also, Australia is already allowing them to manage a container port for them.
For people that fought the renewal of the Patriot Act, this sure seems weird for the Dems. Especially Dodd and Schumer.
I know there are consevatives concerned to, but....
