The Japanese didn't LIVE in what they owned here in the US.
The Japanese didn't SQUAT on the land.
The Japanese didn't RUN FOR OFFICE or build Mosques.
The Japanese didn't try to CHANGE our culture.

Did Rush just say the deal won't go thru?

He said he believes there too much opposition inside the beltway for it to go through.

Rush said that while it is a good deal economically, it's bad politically considering the opposition in the beltway.

''Did Rush just say the deal won't go thru?''

Don't know. I had to turn him off. He's embarassing himself and offending common sense... like the synchophants he derides.

but now that he's alienated over half the audience...

Which half-- the half without a sense of humor?

SO what I got out of Rush on this is......We will get alot of money.....and the British ( a foreign country already uses the ports), so what's the problem.
So that's it? Screw the money!! What's wrong with them....so what if they don't have security functions! They are ON OUR SOIL!!! What the hell is wrong with them.

Hello Ali, Johnnie,

I think the Dems are opposing the Dubai deal because they tried to help an Australian union busting operation.

Australian workers were trained in Dubai to replace union workers in Australia...it involve the Maritime Workers of Australia. Patrick Stevedores was behind it, and P & O was going to receive the benefits of the change in wages.

I can't find a smoking gun that ties Dubai Ports to this event, and haven't really had the time to run all this down. Maybe ya'll can help.

This has got to be the reason Schumer is so hot on this, the longshoremen are jerking his leash IMO.

Here is a couple of links.

I wish Rush hadn't made that feeble attempt to defend the port deal. I've lost some respect for him.

Japan during WWII would have paid to run our port system

UAE has the money - look at Dubai - skyscrapers in a desert? Skyscrapers in real cities aren't ego statements, they're financial reality. When prices get too dear, it make sense to build up.

In Dubai, four blocks behind a skyscraper filled main drag, is desert. Miles and miles of nothing. It's a safe illusion to buy into - a modern city ... yeah, right. But some illusions aren't as safe to buy into -- and the port deal might be one of those.

Feeble? He spent nearly an hour of one single broadcast last week talking about this and the transcript is currently on his website.

Schumer would kill a few thousand union jobs if it meant it got him re-elected. Some of these union goobers are too stupid to figure that out.

Why did it take so long for Gregory to apologize? LOL

He should apologize at the WH press briefing.
