We must never forget that Hillary Clinton talked about needing a gatekeeper for the internet, because she didn't like us talking about this. At the same time, there were much worse scandals than this one that got buried. FRegards....

Maybe Drudge will take on the Barrett Report - the full Barrett Report - as big a story if not bigger than the Monica scandal.

I still think they leaked it to Drudge because they thought they could stop the story cold. Instead it burned around the world and came right back at them.

Yup...Sam Donaldson standing in front of Motel 1600 saying that Billly Bob was expected to announce his resignation...

Of course, this would have been a reasonable thing to say with most people, but he failed to take into account that he was referring to a guy who was incapable of feeling remorse or shame.

Open Up and Say Law

Most of the Clinton news you’ll see this morning concerns whether or not Hillary Clinton was out of line for describing the House as being “run like a plantation” during Al Sharpton’s annual MLK celebration. Was Hillary pretending to be black? Why not, she gets away with portraying a heterosexual on the national stage. As usual, Bill has the more interesting story. His Arkansas law license suspension ends on Thursday. It’s all about the healing."

I remember listening to one of Drudge's radio shows soon after that. He said that one thing he always regretted was that the content of the story overwhelmed what he thought was the even bigger story . . . the fact that a number of "mainstream" U.S. media outlets were sitting on such a bombshell story but refused to run it for purely political reasons.

Good point. When it came to debunking the Old Media, Drudge was the first to draw significant blood. The incapacitating blows, IMHO, were delivered by Ann Coulter's books. [Now the New Media is like a pack of starved wolves, ripping every ounce of flesh off them.] Isn't it interesting how close Coulter and Drudge have been as well?

"And the story about the bullet hole in Ron Brown's head receded into obscurity."

That was an incredible blunder by the right. Even Alan Keyes fell for it.

That's what they got for messing with Linda Tripp. They didn't realise that every person's dignity counts for something in this brave new era.
