Cabinet minister Hilary Armstrong has accused him of missing a debate in the House of Commons on the Crossrail project.
The scheme directly affects his constituency in East London.
The petition reads: "We believe this egotistical action shows a shameful lack of respect for the people of this constituency.
"We call on him to represent and respect his constituents, not further his own ego, as he is by remaining totally out of touch in the Big Brother house."
Ms Armstrong, MP for North West Durham, will launch the petition this morning on a visit to the east London constituency.
Ms Armstrong said: "This week he missed a vote in the House Of Commons on Crossrail and next week he could miss the chance to speak on the Equality Bill and the Work and Families Bill.
"Does he honestly think that his constituents would prefer to see him lounging about in the Big Brother house rather than debating issues as serious as equality?"
Last night in the programme he was taking part in an animal role-playing game with the actress Rula Lenska.
Galloway played the part of a cat with the actress playing his owner, scratching his chin and feeding him titbits.
The MP is up for eviction tonight but glamour model Jodie Marsh is odds-on favourite to be ousted.
The other housemate facing eviction is Pete Burns.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: "It looks all over bar the counting.
"At this stage we usually offer odds on what contestants will do once they leave the house, but we have been unable to think of any credible career for Jodie other than continuing as a glamour model."

Ivan, you haven't heard of Rula Lenksa?
Well, no big deal. She was a mediumly famous "mata hari"-style actress in her day. Can't think what she's been in exactly - a lot of bread-and-butter roles, including an entertaining children's drama with John Pertwee.
That's the problem, her name is not one I haven't heard before, I just can't remember anything she's been in.

Its great news about Gitboy Galloway abasing himself in this crapulous manner.
His views on Saddam were both stupid and Naive, but the good thing was he said it him self.
The problem with todays media both right and left is that they have a reputation for over demonising someone, twisting facts and almost outright lying so that even if there politics is different to yours you feel sympathy for them because of the media.

Ivan, for a man of a certain age Rula was up there with Jenny Hanly in the male teen sexual imagination.
She's probably best known for Rock Follies, the 70's drama about an all girl rock band.
Time for cat lovers everywhere to rise up and body slam the network for this slight. Viking Kitties attack? Galloway as a cat is patently offensive to feline lovers. My cat was so depressed she did not even want to get up this morning upon hearing the news.

Well, here in the States, she was in some shampoo commercials, I think in the 80s. She started out saying, "Hi, I'm Rula Lenska" or something or other. I don't remember the brand now. Here she is:
"Hello. I'm Rula Lenska!"
American rejoinder: "Who gives a sh*t?"
Where do they dig-up these dinosaurs? Is Donovan Leitch on this program, too?
