I don't think Parliament would tolerate that. The British would rather have a Catholic on the throne than a Muslim. Personally, I think the article is only wishful thinking however; Charles is a nice man, but not intellectually sharp and is guilty most of fuzzy thinking.

The Act of Settlement, adopted in the early eighteenth century, would appear to prohibit Charles from acscending to the throne if he actually is a secret Mudslime, since it restricts the succession to members of the Church of England.
