WASHINGTON (AP) -- The withdrawal of Italian troops from Iraq was expected to dominate a discussion Monday between Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi and U.S. President George W. Bush.

Berlusconi, one of Bush's strongest supporters in the run-up to the Iraqi war, was visiting Washington as he faces legal troubles at home ahead of a tough re-election fight.

I'm a proud supporter of President Bush and operation Enduring Freedom. I'm proud of what my Government did and is doing in Iraq standing side by side with the brave American troops who defend the most honorable cause of men, Freedom. Berlusconi is not a good speecher, I know. A lot of time his words were misundestood.

We'll see what two of the men I admire most in the world will say this afternoon.

Anyway, my fellow FRiends, remember that Italy is a proud ally of Freedom and that, speaking about the American flag, Berlusconi once said "i consider the flag of the United States not only a flag of a country, but an Universal message of Freedom and Democracy"...
