This morning President and Mrs. Bush spent time in Covington, Louisiana, assisting in the building of a Habitat for Humanity home for victims of Hurricane Katrina. They also visited Delisle Elementary School in Pass Christian, Mississippi, spending time with the students and teachers.
President Bush then went to the U.S. Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base in New Orleans and greeted the troops who are working with hurricane relief. First Lady Laura Bush traveled to Kansas City, Missouri, visiting the J.S. Chick Elementary School to discuss the importance of fathering with representatives from the National Center for Fathering.
It's a GOOD day to be a Bushbot, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island and the Daily Dose!

Well, I'm not even living with them. I get a private room. They're just in the same dorm. I don't tend to do so well living with people. I've got a bad track record.

I have to say....that I have been seeing the same disrespect for the office of the POTUS that the dems have for Bush...
repeated by the Conservatives in their treatment of Miers...
By the time Miers is confirmed, if she is, she will have been "put down" by so many of the pundits and media, how will anyone be able to respect the SCOTUS any more...after all, I have heard from radio hosts (conservative) in the last few days, that Miers is...a "spinster, lesbian, glorified legal secretary, stepford judge, dweeb!"
Yeppers...by the time President Bush leaves office no longer will the POTUS or the SCOTUS be considered respected in America or all over the world...
and of course, that will be Bush's fault also.
Just like in life, Ohio. And sometimes I find the weird ones...weirdly fascinating. I like to try and figure out just what it is that makes them behave the way they do. ; ). Weird, huh?
Fortunately, I actually like to discuss issues with people I disagree with...it's the ridiculous name calling I can't stand—although, I am not as blameless in this regard as I wish I was.
I agree about defending the President. If character matters, as we all so piously noted during the last administration, than this President is worth fighting for. We can disagree with him...but that is not the same thing as trashing him personally, or calling into question everything he has ever done. A concept that some have a bit of difficulty grasping.

It annoys me no end that we have to pay a licence fee when I hardly ever watch BBC apart from some sport and the ocassional drama program.
I think the living arrangements sounds much better similar to how it is in the UK. Less tension, is yours a mixed dorm or single sex?
