Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger came out on Friday in favor of an initiative that would require parents to be notified before their daughter has an abortion if she is under the age of 18.
Schwarzenegger, who called the special election for Nov. 8, announced his position on all of the propositions although he had already endorsed four as part of his plan for changing government. He will not actively campaign for the other measures, however.
Schwarzenegger told the Sacramento Bee in an interview earlier this week that he would "kill" someone who took one of his own daughters in for an abortion. He has four children, including two teenage daughters.
While he clarified the remark to say that he would not literally kill someone, he said it makes no sense that a school notifies parents about a child receiving first aid after a schoolyard scrape or fall but that a minor can have an abortion without her parents' knowledge.

Then is said he didn't mean it...that he would only tie them in a windsor knot and wear them at the next capitol bacchanal....ok he didn't say that either...he did say he would be verrrrry mad...you don't want the terminator mad at you..
"Simply push forward a bill requiring parental consent to all medical procedures that could carry risks to health or mental well being. "

You make an excellent point and you are absolutely right.
Arnold said the same thing.
While I am not a parent (cat spoken here), when it comes to kids, I understand exactly what he is saying and support Prop 73.
Too bad organizations like NARAL, NOW, the ACLU and NAMBLA don't.
One skirmish at a time... the forces of the left must be defeated lest our civilization erode from within and evemtually collapse.
From the article:
"Schwarzenegger campaign spokesman Rob Stutzman said the governor believes parents should be involved in their child's medical decisions.
"Just as the law involves parents in all other medical decisions with a child, he doesn't believe abortion should be any different," Stutzman said."
(this is a PS to my previous post to you)
Read your profile varyouga....a prodigal child has returned home. Welcome to FR and welcome to sanity.
Another article on Parental Notification in CA for Pro Life ping.
Well, let's see:
Arnold is supporting this proposition, he also said he will veto the homosexual marriage bill, he refused to raise taxes, despite pressure from Dems, he had the legislature reverse the drivers license to illegal bill they passed earlier, he turned CA around from the brink of financial disaster without raising taxes, he initiated propositions 74 (education spending cuts), 75 (paycheck protection), 76 (limit spending), 77 (redistricting). SO FAR...
Do I hear some cheers for Arnold finally?
I read a statistic yesterday that around 48% of abortions are 2nd time or greater. And 55% of underage girls never tell their parents. http://www.abortionismurder.org/HTML/II-A-US.html
I wonder is there is a correlation?</sarc>
hype hype Hooray!
Thanks for sharing your story on your home page and your testimony that FR is not only entertainment, but may save lives.
Welcome to FR.
This is why the Left hates this guy so much. Now that he's on to the Labor Unions and their chicanery, they want his head on a platter.
I'm sure Maria's not too comfortable with this either. But as Arnold has said, the will of the people needs to be carried out, not the whims of Special Interests.
It's interesting. My 15 year old daughter was working in a clothing store last year, and we had to sign the parental approval form for her ability to work as a minor. So let's get this straight : California requires not only parental notification, but parental approval for minors to work in a clothing store, but no parental approval for an abortion.
Yeah...go figure.
Only in the Land of the Fruits and Nuts.
I hope you changed your password on your computer AND on FR, to keep others from using your account.
