This guy has entirely TOO much time on his hands. Yes, he should take up a useful hobby like Train spotting. ;-)

Maybe the old goat should get one of those new-fangled riding mowers.
Then maybe he could get his grass cut as quickly as when he was a younger man.

I'm a creature of habit. I also note down every time I shred garden waste and am a great enthusiast of bus timetables. I think they have medication for this....

how do we know he wasn't lazier 20 years ago and didn't start mowing til later in the year or stopped earlier back then?
i know my neighbor (older, retired) has her lawn mowed at least two weeks before i even get my mower out to see if it's gonna work, and mows weeks after i've put mine away and gotten the snow blower out to see if its working.
she also mows 2x a week and has a seperate water meter just for watering her lawn.
darn retired people with nothing better to do than make us young lazy kids look bad..

i fertilize mine too, did you know that if you put your spreader on the highest setting, you get this lovely shade of beige grass that you don't have to mow all year?

In most of the UK (exception being Scotland, other far northern areas) grass at least does not die off in the winter, in some places in the south it actually continues to grow slowly, year round. This does not pass the smell test.

I don't think I want to know why this guy has ziplock baggies and a scale in his water closet ...

More proof of global warning or is it genetically altered grass seed? Either way, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!
