He looks like a young and healthy 50. 30 years should be no problem on the bench. Shumer is losing sleep already. How great is that?

Roberts seems like a slam-dunk, but I'm sure the Democrats will make a mountain out of any molehill they can find.

Maybe the next pick will be spicier. Last night I dreamed that GWB got to pick all 9 Sup Ct justices. I wonder, if he did, what the balance would be?

Podhoretz sounding prissy and pissy over this nomination.
If the media is bored, well tough noogies.

No doubt the liberal sleaze machine is in full panic mode, anxious to find something, ANYTHING that they can use to torpedo Roberts.
I'm reminded of that scene in the original "Willy Wonka" movie, where Verruca Salt's father has all of his slave laborers furiously opening thousands of Wonka bars in hopes of getting his daughter a golden ticket. You see the hundreds of poor workers slaving away at this single quest, and Mr. Salt screams from his office door "WORK HARDER! FASTER!".

Roberts is truely a consensus nomination. He was on Democratic Senator Lieberman's short list and I am sure the President took this into consideration. Let's get the confirmation done with and continue the debate on the CIA leak. We know now that Rowe is not guilty maybe it was Joe Wilson. If so, unfortunately, he must go to jail. And if Chuck Schumer is involved he must also serve time.

It has been an excellent pick by President Bush: conservative, (relatively) young, confirmed three years ago even by the Democrats.

Isn't John Roberts from the state of New York originally? Wouldn't it behoove Upchuck and Hillary the Heinous Harridan to vote FOR him? Oh, I forgot -- they don't care where he is from -- it is the seriousness of the charges he is going to face!
