He would get to play that cool "Law & Order" intro theme music everytime he enters the court.
The Fred Thompson thing would be an interesting duplicate of the Cheney thing.
Fred was selected to see the nominee through the process.
Dick was selected to help in finding a VP. He found himself.
Maybe Fred will be able to steer himself through the process.
