ABC news is CONVINCED that the candidate WILL join the President tonight in the WH. I must state now that any candidates they are downgrading should not be considered out of the mix. ABC is clearly placing an inordinate amount of weight on their "being there".

Just as Cheney became the VP after heading up the search, could it be possible that Fred Thompson would be the nominee? After all, he's a former member of their club. I know, it would be considered an "unserious" pick, but it sure would be fun.

Clement was a Souter-type. We really don't know what she thinks, and I have heard that she agreed with Roe V Wade Good.
Personally, I could care less about the abortion issue. I would GLADLY accept a pro-abortion SCOTUS Justice as long as they were a strict Constitutionalist on law and order, property rights, gun rights, reverse discrimination, et al.
